Canyon - DK 85/15 SW Merino/Nylon

Canyon is the first installment of the mystery Socks Gone Camping collaboration that we did with Carlie Perrins of Northwoods Knit Co!  The assignment was camping summer in BC, and all of the colours reflect elements of that.  I loved this collaboration so much I knew I needed to do a DK version of this colour!

This month's colour was inspired by drives through the Fraser Canyon, a mainly desert-like area that sits between where Carlie and I live.  It's an arid, dry place with rusted rocks, sandy hills, railways, rivers, and hardy trees that have survived through fires, drought, floods, and more.  It has a soft taupe base with large sections of rusty orange and green variegation and a generous helping of speckles.
