HAUNUI

Haunui fibre can only be found in one place - near Canterbury on the South Island of New Zealand.  One family started breeding sheep in the 1980's and through a breeding program refined their flock to have features that any sheep would be proud of - stunningly soft handle that belies its micron count, 3" plus staple length, and a range of gorgeous natural colours that goes from pearly white to ebony black.  

It's clear that the family that look after this flock care deeply about the quality of the fibre, and the welfare of their sheep, and it really shows in the finished fibre.  It has a subtle sheen and is an absolute dream to work with!
