Sock - High Twist 85/15

This sock base is made up of 85% Superfine Merino wool and 15% Nylon, and is a 2-ply High Twist construction.  Each skein has 360 meters or 396 yards, making it a slightly thicker fingering or sock weight yarn.  It's ultra soft but has bounce and body, and a high twist construction that makes for a round, soft yarn that is a pleasure to work with.

This yarn is suitable for any project, but it will make stunning textured or cabled project that will POP!  Each skein is hand-dyed with care and stored in my smoke-free and pet-friendly home (although the dogs are kept away from the yarn!) 

High quality acid dyes are used and are rinsed in order to prevent bleeding of colour, however some colours may leech slightly. To avoid this I recommend using cold to room temperature water with a wool wash such as Soak or Eucalan in order to prevent transfer of colour. Also, although many yarns are labeled as “Superwash”, I recommend hand washing all knitted items in order to prolong their life and colour.

Each skein of Bramble Ridge Hand Dyed Yarn is created by me, and as such there may be small variations between skeins. I highly recommend alternating skeins for larger projects, such as sweaters, in order to avoid colour pooling.

The skeins have been photographed in natural light to give you the most accurate representation of colours, but please be aware that screens can differ slightly.
