Collection: BFL
BFL (short for Bluefaced Leicester) wool is a lovely longwool with origins in England. Bluefaced Leicester fleece fhave long, narrow, curly locks that have a much lower micron count than most longwools, meaning you get a long, lustrous fibre that ends up being much softer and silkier than other longwool breeds.
As this fibre is untreated, please take care when handling this fibre (cool water wash, as little heat and agitation as possible) to avoid felting, unless you want it to felt in your application!
Each 100g (minimum) braid is hand-dyed with care and stored in my smoke-free and pet-friendly home (although the dogs don't knit or spin)
High quality acid dyes are used and are rinsed in order to prevent bleeding of colour, however some colours may leech slightly. To avoid this I recommend using cold to room temperature water with a wool wash such as Soak or Eucalan in order to prevent transfer of colour.
The braids have been photographed in natural light to give you the most accurate representation of colours, but please be aware that screens can differ slightly. I cannot guarantee that your device's display of any colour will be exactly as seen by eye. If you require further images of any skeins before purchase, please let me know, I’d be happy to help!
